Its spacious table top surface provides you with ample room for all your must-have desk supplies like your laptop, a cup full of pens and pencils, and even a little room for some home décor items too. It features two small storage drawers that open and close on smooth metal runners for easy access storage of miscellaneous items like a stapler, envelopes and paper clips. It also includes three large file drawers with full extension slides that can hold letter, legal or European size hanging files so you can be organized to the max. The two file drawers on the left side include a key lock so you can keep important documents safe and secure. It also features a center drawer with a flip-down front for your keyboard/mouse and grommet holes in the desk top for cord management. In 1934, Erie Sauder started a woodworking business in a barn behind his home in Archbold, Ohio. Originally a builder of custom cabinetry and church pews, he began crafting small occasional tables from the fine, leftover wood. In 1940, the workmanship of these tables eventually inspired a traveling salesman to place an astounding order of 25,000 — a seemingly impossible purchase order for a budding company. But with a little ingenuity and a lot of determination, Sauder Woodworking Co. grew and flourished. Fast forward to 1953 for Sauder to find the answer to its calling — a patented table that could be assembled at home. And it was this snap-together table that marked the beginning of the ready-to-assemble furniture industry.
